Books that caught my eye recently

While in a local Indigo bookstore, I was blown away by the size of the LGBTQIA section of books. Mainly how tiny it was in this massive multi-level bookstore. But then I realized that most LGBT+ books seem to be integrated with the other books – fiction with fiction, romance with romance. So it was okay. Ish.

These books – most not gay – caught my eye in the bookstore, and may make their way onto my reading list. I love music, I can’t sing. Bad Singer seems like some fun stuff. We Were Feminists Once seems important, n’est pas? The buying and selling of a political movement just might explain what went on while I was busy living. The Utopia of Rules appeals to my inner organization freak. I have no idea why I seemed to be drawn to Rising Strong. Must be a moment of weakness. Ha ha, I made a funny.

Brave Enough by Cheryl Strayed is a collection of quotes from her book, Wild. I have not yet read Wild, it’s on my e-reader, so maybe this is close enough. Year of Yes because Shonda Rhimes. And finally, Tig Nataro’s I’m Just a Person. because secretly I am hoping she is more.
