A little while ago, I wrote about Glad Day Book Store moving to the heart of the Gay Village in Toronto. I decided it was time to put my money where my mouth, er, fingers, are, and donate to their move.
Glad Day is not a charity, but they are well-deserving in support of their move, and to stay open. Gay and lesbian bookstores, have been challenged in one form or another for a very long time. Glad Day has, so far, managed to weather the storm and hang on, and in an effort to keep the store alive, they are morphing into a bookstore and bar.
If you’re in Toronto, please visit Glad Day, either in their current home or their new home. Either way, you’ll be glad you did.
