Sue Slate, nattiest and toughest Private Eye in Peacock Alley, is minding her own business when who should slide in the window but gorgeous Tallulah Mimosa, irresistible in her ritzy perfume from Cats Fifth Avenue, and so very distressed that what else can Sue Slate do but accept The Case of the Kitnapped Kittens?

Grimmer events transpire. Sue and Tallulah find a People dead – big Ole, whose apartment has been ransacked. Sue finds what the murderer apparently missed – a computer disk – and she escapes with it just as the fuzz arrives.

The trail leads to The God Is Not Dead Church, and their AIDS clinic. This alarms Sue Slate because her People are Levis and Darlin’, and Darlin’ has AIDS. Then there’s also this pharmaceutical company and a new drug…And there’s the Mad Processor – she runs a computer information network that transmits the newest medical findings to help AIDS patients. Is she involved in this?

The truth will out, and everyone, especially Tallulah Mimosa, is in very good paws with Sue Slate on the case…
