In 1927, Red Wolverton, Boston’s only female private investigator, has a penchant for men’s clothing and female lovers. Evadne Davenport, a well-educated, wealthy, and widowed socialite has a desire for adventure and intrigue and would like nothing more than the chance to send her mother-in-law into a screaming apoplectic fit.
