Further, the murdered man’s trousers are suspiciously agape. Puzzled by these meager clues, Sarnelli decides to investgate the tenement floor by floor and question every occupant. He thereby embarks on a strange sexual odyssey in this bizarre building which literally teems with every imaginable deviation. Inexorbaly drawn into a series of startling erotic episodes in his quest for the killer: two nubile Lesbians not averse to admitting a man into their domain of pleasure; an artful prostitute skilled in ancinet, long-suppressed ancient lore; a young sympathetic homosexual; a nymphomaniacal older woman; and a thoroughly depraved landlady who not only knows what her tenants are up to but encourages them to greater excesses.’
