Return of the Warrior by Katherine E. Standell

Dylan Hawk has returned home, her body battered and her soul bruised. She is a national hero and admired by many, but not loved by all. In the eyes of the public she is a strong warrior, a woman of iron, but there behind closed doors there is a break in the armor.

Lura Grant followed her soldier into combat, and now she has come to stand beside her for all the world to see. Her family has other ideas -- and so does Dylan. Besides that, there is another threat stalking the lovers.

Have the two women survived the deadly conflicts of the desert only to be crushed by unseen forces?
