Sheila Brown and Mary McCormick are lovers and the lead and rhythm guitarists for the band Great Big Something. They are having relationship problems and decide to go into counseling to work on them. In the meantime, their flourishes, even as Rhonda Polansky and Claudia Weinburg, the bassist and drummer for the band, break up in the middle of a tour, causing Sheila, Mary and the band’s keyboardist Martha Geiger to scramble to find a replacement.
