Christopher, Earl of Eden, is a trans man living quietly in Regency England, keeping away from society and its scrutiny with only a few longtime servants for company. His late father's will requires him to marry by the end of the Season or lose his fortune and estate, so he must go to London and needs a proper valet. He hires James Harding, a young, handsome and very correct manservant, and as the Season unfolds a slow-burning romance develops between the two men.
