Wylla, a tech hunter with a damaged ship and an outdated mask, is racing other hunters to a valuable piece of technology on a nearby planet when the mask, which holds the consciousness of a dead woman called HAWK, comes to life in her ship's storage. Masks are not supposed to hold memory or identity, but HAWK is real, and she sees Wylla as no one ever has. Together they set out to confront the ex-husband who discarded HAWK. A novella of sapphic revenge in space.
