Toni Barston returns as an assistant prosecuting attorney in Fairfield. During an interview with a murder suspect, she stumbles on information about an organized crime operation dealing in drugs and who knows what else. Within days her car is torched. The boss of this organization, a troubled woman, soon becomes obsessed with Toni and will stop at nothing to either have her or have her killed.
After Toni barely escapes a kidnapping attempt, she and her friends desperately try to piece together the information they have before the woman and her people strike again. Who wants her enough to kill?
