Congregations in Conflict by Keith Hartman

A Methodist church tries its minister for marching in a gay rights parade; a Quaker meeting struggles over whether to marry a lesbian couple; a congregation is expelled from the Southern Baptist Convention for supporting a gay divinity student. Keith Hartman examines nine churches divided over gay and lesbian issues and how they resolved their conflicts, showing some emerging stronger and others splitting, and how people with passionately opposed beliefs can remain a community of faith.
