Death Off Stage
Carlene Miller
A searing attraction to Tory and her parents’ strange behavior the day of the murder cause Tandy more than her fair share of anxiety. Snooping into the lives of people she’s known for years doesn’t exactly increase her comfort level, but she’s determined to clear her parents’ names.
Tory is having a run of trouble as well. Too many suspects and a profound attraction to Tandy, who is by turns annoyingly meddlesome and totally irresistible, make the Grady murder one of Detective Gordon’s toughest cases yet.
Can Tory keep Tandy at arm’s length during the investigation – possibly for her own safety – and still expect her to warm Tory’s bed when the suspect is apprehended?

About the Author
Drawn to East Coast Florida by the need for teachers created by the burgeoning space industry of the 1960s, Carlene Miller eventually chose teaching over a career in television, finding the directing of young minds as exciting as directing live television.
She retired after 30 years to help ease her partner’s journey through Alzheimer’s to her death ” – a difficult and painful journey for both of us.” She was fortunate to have both an enlightened doctor and the support of many former students working at local hospitals and nursing homes.
She is also the author of Killing at The Cat and Mayhem at the Marina, both published by New Victoria. The Tory Gordon series is the first of two mystery series Miller will write for Women’s Work Press.
