Healing Us

Amanda Court is an Army nurse who always wanted to be a soldier like her father until a medical condition meant she couldn’t serve. Jane Moseby is a soldier who wanted to go into the medical field, but no college would accept her because of her grades. Two women living life as best they can on a base in Iraq, they happen to find an uncommon sort of attraction between them both. Amanda is a lesbian but she’s never felt like this about anyone before, while Jane is starting to question her own sexuality. Tragedy strikes as Jane’s brother is mortally wounded, and Amanda is incapable of saving him. Forced into each other’s arms by a need for comfort, both women are placed on a two-week mandatory leave. A trip to Venice, romance capital of the world, has them falling in love but is a relationship possible when Jane just doesn’t know what she wants?
