Heart by Lexi Harris

Forced to move in with her father and his new family, Leah O’Mally hopes to make the best of her new start, both at home and in her new school. Everything seems to start off just right as she quickly makes friends and is accepted lovingly into her new household. Then she meets Jaxie, a cool-tempered, self-assured girl from her music class. It’s hard enough falling in love for the first time, never mind when it’s with another girl! Now Leah must face her darkest of fears: losing everyone she loves and everything she cares for...Heart is a story about family and the growing pains of the first loves and first losses of our teenage population in the late 90’s. A true tale in the dealings of the heart.
