Heather Has Two Mommies by Lesléa Newman

A commemorative twentieth anniversary of the classic children's book--fully illustrated in color for the first time.

Product Description
Originally self-published in 1989, Heather Has Two Mommies was the first lesbian-themed book ever published. The simple and straightforward story of a little girl named Heather and her two lesbian mothers was created by Newman and illustrator Diana Souza because children's books that reflected non-traditional families did not exist. Its enduring message about tolerance and acceptance will appeal to readers of all ages and backgrounds: The most important thing about any family is that everyone in it loves each other.
