Ellen Travis was left with the stark reality of the ringing bell (alarm) and she knew she had to face the chill dawn. That’s what you get, she told herself, for procrastinating. Last night she had intended to study for her quiz in philosophy, but instead had let herself be talked out of it and into a Coke date with an illiterate football player. How nice to be a football player and not have to study. Especially not have to get up two hours early to prepare for an exam.
