On Strike Against God by Joanna Russ

On Strike Against God is about outrage, about passion, sex and grief; it describes the metamorphosis of a 38-year old Professor of English literature to pistol-toting radical. It's about Esther, who wakes up overnight to the compromises she's made for more years than she cares to remember.
