Reporter Lexy Hyatt finds herself in the middle of a vicious fight for control of her newspaper, The Ledger. Twin owners Andrea and Andrew Standish battle it out, till Andrew turns up dead on an orienteering course during a race sponsored by the paper. Upon discovering there are many suspects with both motive and opportunity, Lexy pursues her own investigation of the murder, in defiance of Detectives Exline and Ziegler who insist she stay out of it. Domestic bliss which may be too good to be true, and a kid who can flatten her in martial arts class, only add to Lexy’s woes.
