Life stories of fourteen lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender migrants, refugees and asylum seekers living in Johannesburg. The narrators describe their journeys to South Africa and toward self-acceptance, their struggles to reconcile faith with sexuality and gender identity in the face of persecution, and the spaces of hope and belonging they have built, revealing the interplay of homophobia and xenophobia in South Africa.
