She’s Always Liked the Girls Best by Claudia Allen

Review
Claudia Allen is Playwright-in-Residence at Victory Gardens Theater in Chicago and winner of two Jefferson awards. She has written many plays including The Long Awaited, Still Waters, and The Gays of Our Lives. With She's Always Liked the Girls Best, Third Side Press offers four of Allen's best. Movie Queens and Hannah Free feature old women reflecting with wit and insight on the glories and trials of their younger days as women in love with other women. Raincheck and Roomers reflect the realties of being different in small-town Michigan. Allen writes with honesty, skill, insight, and style that both entertains and fascinates. Her characters are both universal and unique. -- Midwest Book Review
