Study In Lilac by Maria-Antonia Oliver

One of the three premier releases in Intrigue’s new WorldKrime series, Study in Lilac is a hardboiled, high-spirited detective novel set on the bustling streets of Barcelona, and featuring the tough but likable private eye Lònia Guiu. Lònia has two problems on her hands: Sebastiana, a pregnant young rape victim whom Lònia has taken in off the streets; and Ms. Gaudí, a mysterious antique dealer who is trying to locate three men she claims defrauded her. Lònia’s search for the three men takes her from private, opulent estates to the seedy docks of Barcelona, and a shocking discovery that will test the strength of her moral convictions. A fast-paced, fast-talking thriller that raises important social issues.
