Sweet Violet by Ruby Vise

There were all sorts of women in the club. By the stage were girls with shaved heads, in tartan kilts and leather trousers; if seemed to Violet that every part of their anatomy was pierced. Violet is young, butch and new in town, looking for a way to get over her childhood sweetheart Katherine, who has recently become engaged. The rarefied big-city dyke scene is both politically and sexually charged, and populated by women who range from cosmic mother-earth worshippers to sexy girls in leather. And these sisters don't always see eye to eye.

But while Violet explores the delights of lesbian London, desperate to get a hot date for Katherine's wedding, Katherine herself - tantalised by disturbingly erotic daydreams - is already having second thoughts about the big event.
