The Burnton Widows by Vicki P. McConnell

Meet Nyla Wade, lesbian and reporter. In this tale, Nyla explores the past murder of two lesbians and finds a rich lesbian heritage, gay political allies, new friendships and love.

---
Lesbian journalist Nyla Wade has moved to Burnton, Oregon, where
she has a new job as a reporter at the local newspaper. When she
arrives in the costal community she discovers a limestone castle,
old murders and a town too anxious to obliterate the castle and
its history: the generations of lesbians who have lived there.
Nyla's unwanted probing re-opens old wounds, unleashes local gay
activists and uncovers the truth about what happened the night of
the murders.
