The Godmothers by Sandi Hall

In this feminist classic, warrior women who take on the cold, human-less face of Big Business are just ordinary teachers, posties, actresses, gardeners, or computer data processors.

Though written in the early ‘80s, this high-action story of how ruthless Big Business collides with community wishes seems even more relevant in the 21st century.

Readers will be fascinated to see how Hall’s pre-Internet society prefigures our ordinary computer world, and science fans will be intrigued by how her rogue religious fanatics bend Mandelbrot’s fractals to their own ends!
