This expose delves into the murder trial of flamboyant musician Eric Mareo and provides an interesting glimpse into social attitudes in New Zealand in the 1930s. Examined are Mareo's conviction for the murder of his actress wife and questions surrounding the legitimacy of the trail and the star witness, Freda Stark, who had been having an affair with Thelma Mareo at the time of her death.
