For years Trudy has driven the lavender cab Number Four, and that’s all she’s done since Georgia left her. With her dog Alex, a home in the trailer park, her Harley motorcycle and enough money to get by, she keeps to a comfortable routine. That’s all blown out of the water one fateful day when she picks up a fare, the beautiful and mysterious, Anita Alvarez. Next thing she knows, the dispatcher at her cab company is killed in cold blood. Looking for answers, Trudy finds herself irresistibly drawn into Anita’s convoluted intrigues of drug running and shady politics. After being shot at Trudy resolves to leave Anita and her problems behind, yet she’s yanked back into the fray one more time. Why?–because somehow, the young vulnerable woman appeals to the working-class hero deep inside Trudy, and if she doesn’t save her, who will?<\/div>\n
