From the flaps…When the law closes in on Jack Drum and his various, shady (particularly his call-girl), enterprises which comprised GLAMOUR INC., they thought that they had taken his proverbial deck of cards and sent it tumbling for good, sending him away for a long stretch to the penitentiary. But what the law didn’t realize was, that there was still one card left in the whole deck-one card which the nefarious Jack Drum kept up his sleeve. This card was one Steve McBride, who became dynamically transformed into the virtual Monster of Frankenstein that Jack Drum had been, in his stead. So they called this man-Steve McBride…The Devil’s Joker! The Novel-reaches it’s critical Denouement with the long-belated return of Sheila Hobart to Stve McBride, after those sixteen long years of being away from him! And what McBride has previously done to Ruth Wentworth, via ‘the fire that burns,’ is still pale and ludicrous by comparison, with what he does to luscious Sheila!…But paradoxically, Sheila goes for this sort of caveman treatment, after being most ‘backward’ for awhile, but ultimately becoming ‘hungry’ for it…Bringing this novel to one of the most smashing climaxes in years…resolving the lives of all the main characters in it.<\/div>\n
