Free Baby was written to help men or women, gay or straight, find personal, emotional and physiological freedom from a life they can no longer stand to live. Growing up the 60s and 70s was a scary time for a young Valerie Abram. Being different from her friends and family, she struggled to fight her internal calling. The thought of exposure and rejection was her biggest fear. She was gay and in the closet. As months turned into years her life was slowly ticking away. One day she realized something had to change. She was trapped in a long-term marriage with two children and she needed to become the person she so desperately needed to be. Free Baby is the story of Valerie’s successful break from an unhappy marriage to finally find internal peace, love and happiness as a gay woman. She also shares her inter-most feelings living a life of complete denial. For all those of us who feel trapped, there is a way out of the closet.
