Whether they are sleeping in the bamboo huts on the beach, eating tzitziki and drinking retsina at the Greek tavernas with a view over the Aegean or falling in love and making friendships along international lines, for the community of lesbians who are staying on the island of Lesbos during one long hot summer this momentous and fun-loving time is full of laughter and activity that not even the threat of scorpions can diminish. There are a couple of Australian lesbians on the beach, including Zoe who breaks up with her lover Alice almost as soon as they arrive, but she stays on anyway and becomes an integral part of the lesbian shinanagans on Skala Eressou.<\/p><\/div>\n
