It’s Jo’s birthday and her girlfriend Sarah has organised a treasure hunt in the country for the two of them, their little girl Derrie and their friends. But each woman has a different quest: while Sarah needs to know if Jo is planning to leave her, Andi is pursuing Somoya, Somoya is running from her own demons and Charlotte is struggling to fit in. They only take their eyes off Derrie for a moment, but its a moment too long. With fast cars, feverish lust and magical visions, ‘Treasure’ is an enchanting summer ride and a celebration of love and friendship.<\/p>\n

Within the tight timeframe of a trea-sure hunt on a summer’s day, this cleverly constructed story follows the progress of six very different women, one unconventional child and a desperate sperm donor. As they follow the clues to find the treasure, we also wait to see whether Jo will leave her lover and their daughter before the day is out.<\/P>

A generosity of human spirit runs through this book as it takes on infidelity, queer parenting, transsexuality and unrequited lust. It will appeal in particular to lesbian readers looking to see their own lives reflected in all their complexity in an intelligent and enjoyable novel.<\/P>
