Blow Fly finds Dr. Kay Scarpetta reexamining her life after she leaves Richmond, Virginia, with her career, credibility and life in tatters. In the three years since The Last Precinct, the world-renowned medical examiner is living in a run down house in Florida and working as a private consultant. <\/p>\n

It is in Florida that she receives the disturbing news that serial killer, Jean-Baptiste Chandonne wishes to see her. Sitting on death row in Texas, it appears the notorious “Wolfman” is ready to spill the secrets of his crime family. The catch is he’ll only speak to Dr. Scarpetta, and she has to be the one to perform his lethal injection. <\/p>\n

Into this mix, are a series of abductions and murders taking place in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Women are vanishing from shopping malls and grocery store parking lots, never to be seen or heard from again. Then Kay gets a call from the Baton Rouge coroner who wants her to look into an old case, involving a young woman who appears to have died of a drug overdose. <\/p>\n

Are these three instances somehow related? What sort of game is the Wolfman playing? With her friends and family protecting her, will Kay be able to unravel this tangled mess? And what will happen when she is confronted with the shock of her life?<\/p><\/div>\n
